About OGA
Seeing a need for a stronger voice in food industry matters, a group of seventeen retail grocers met in Oklahoma City in June 1938 and formed the Oklahoma Retail Grocers Association.
From the early years of this organization until the present, OGA has built and maintained a reputation as one of the strongest and most active Grocers Associations in the United States.
Governed by a Board of Directors made up of retailers, suppliers, and wholesalers from throughout the state, the association has provided educational opportunities, legislative representation, and services which have been beneficial to its members.
Since 1938, when these few retailers came together to unite as one, retailers have continued to come together for a stronger food industry in Oklahoma. During the association's 50th Anniversary, the name was changed from Oklahoma Retail Grocers Association (ORGA) to Oklahoma Grocers Association (OGA).
Membership to the Oklahoma Grocers Association is yours for a minimal investment. If you would like to become a Retail Member of the Oklahoma Grocers Association please download the Retail Member application. If you would like to become an Associate Member (vendors and suppliers) of the Oklahoma Grocers Association please download the Associate Member application. Or you can contact the OGA office.
